Pete Peterson is the Braun Family Dean at Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy, If his face seems familiar, you may have seen him as an expert on State & Local policy, appearing on FOX NEWS and other media outlets regularly to discuss California policy and politics. He was also the CA GOP candidate for Secretary of State in 2014.
A leading national speaker and writer on issues related to civic participation, he has been deeply involved in promoting greater “viewpoint diversity” in higher education. Highlighting the challenges Conservatives face on American’s college campuses has been the subject of a number of his posts and conferences.

Both COVID and campus protests following the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks will be considerd watershed events in American higher education. With major donors pulling back funds to Ivy League shools and with college presidents being fired, it appears that Americans are not only aware of the ideological capture of many college and universities, but they are also getting involved to returning these institutions to their own founding principle: the pursuit of truth.

Peterson will highlight important and encouraging steps that donors and states are taking to reform higher education.

Camarillo, California is located in Ventura County and is a named for brothers Juan and Adolfo Camarillo, prominent Californios who owned Rancho Calleguas and founded the city.

Camarillo is located in Pleasant Valley at the eastern end of the Oxnard Plain, with the Santa Susana Mountains to the north, the Camarillo Hills to the northwest, the Conejo Valley to the east, and the western reaches of the Santa Monica Mountains to the south.  A lush agricultural area, Camarillo grows beautiful strawberries,  orange, lemon and walnuts that are prized by consumers.  Point Mugu Naval Air Station is located in this area and we are very proud and supportive of the Naval personnel living in this area.

The Camarillo brothers built The Camarillo Ranch House

Delicious strawberries and other fruit are grown in the Camarillo area.

Point Mugu is the home of an important Naval station and Missile Park.
